U13s Match

Unfortunately the score was not a true reflection of the match and with the game being played on a full size pitch with full size goals I feel an unfair result. However Cambridge City were still tough opposition and just what POSH needed. This was a match that gave the coaching staff a look at the development of the players and once the girls have had a season under their belts a re-match on a proper size pitch and a goals should show a completely different score line. The determination of the girls saw them score in the last few minutes of the match which proves the passion of the team to never give up regardless of the score. Well done girls, just keeping working in the training sessions!

U11s Match

Cambridge City have played 4 matches and have a goal difference of 72 quite an impressive start to their season. At POSH we jumped at the chance to play them in a friendly. The first half showed Cambridge City that POSH were more than contenders for this match with a lovely goal from Kier Perkins and Frankie Jepson scoring from a set piece. Unfortunately POSH could not sustain their play in the second half as Cambridge City charged through the middle of the park. There were times when the POSH Girls played some excellent football but they still have a lot to learn. All the coaching staff are confident that just like the U13s the U11s will come out top next time around. Keep going girls you are all doing really well!
