U11s S-Tech League Histon Hornets (0) v POSH Girls (7)
U11 POSH Girls gave a top of the league performance as they cruised to a 7-0 victory over Histon Hornets. Visitors POSH played Keir Perkins in for the 1st after 7 minutes played as Megan Parrett made it 2 after 17 and Georgie Elsom struck gold as she hit home from distance to have a comfortable lead at the break. The 2nd half saw a flurry of goals initiated again by Perkins and followed emphatically by an Alessia Mundo hat-trick as she honed in on the hornets nest. POSH maintained possession for long periods forcing good saves from the Histon keeper while Frankie Jepson displayed great strength and a fine touch as did Fiona Plumb in defence. POSH hit the woodwork with frequency and will be pleased with their disciplined performance as Kim Lane takes her team into the Christmas break with their unbeaten record intact.

U13s Fenlands League Coates (2) v POSH Girls (8)
In the first round of the cup POSH Girls U13s travelled to Whittlesey to play Coates. Over the last few weeks POSH Girls have really started to gel as a squad and this cup match gave them everything to play for. POSH Girls started the match with complete control and only took Bethany Cameron four minutes to open the score line with calm composure and skill. After that saw the girls play beautiful football, passing the ball comfortably around the pitch and dominating the home side. Eleven minutes after Beth's goal, Abbey Goymour fired home her first for the POSH. Then came an awesome attack by the side giving Abbey her second goal in the match followed a minute later with Captain Kirsty Hall's pin point perfect shot into the left top corner outside the area. Just minutes before half time Abbey got her hat-trick leaving the side 5-0 at the whistle. Determined not to loose concentration the girls full of confidence revved themselves up for the second half. A small error in the fourth minute allowed Coates through with one-on-one with keeper Jazzy Priddis to give Coates a goal. Not happy to sit back POSH fought back and four minutes after that Keely Phillips put her first away for the girls. Still working hard as a team POSH continued to put pressure on Coates, brilliant runs by Danielle Perkins down the wing combining well with Kirsty Hall, slotted lovely balls through to Keely who found herself on the score sheet for the second time in the match. Coates found a way through the formidable defense of Hannah Sansom and Megan Jepson to get their second goal. But unfortunately wasn't enough as once again POSH responded with Keely also getting her first hat-trick. Bethany Cameron was extremely unlucky not to score again but with two skillful feet it was fantastic to watch. A brilliant game of football by the girls who have shown team and individual talent. Keep going girls, awesome!
