U11s Fenland League POSH Girls (2) v Stamford Girls (2)

Under 11 Fenland POSH girls faced Stamford at home last week. Both teams were evenly matched but Stamford claimed the advantage as they broke through Posh's defence to go into the break 1-0 ahead. Resilient Posh drew level twice in an exciting second half thanks to the boot of Megan Parrett. The second of which came moments before the final whistle as a result of a fine counter attacking move involving quick passing from one end of the park to the other. This was another inspiring performance from the new under 11s team who are improving in confidence with every game played. Final score 2-2. They face the return match of Stamford this weekend and will be lucky to secure their first win of the season.
