U11s S-Tech League POSH Girls (3) v P'Boro Diamonds (1)

POSH U11 Girls met Peterborough Diamonds in a local derby and top of the table clash. POSH needed a win to preserve their unbeaten record and open up a gap at the top of the S-Tech League. After five minutes played Kier Perkins put the home team in front after some delightful combination play from the midfield. Resolute Diamonds hit back just before half time as they finally found a way through the defense to equalise. After the break POSH continued to defend with discipline with stirling performances from Kim Lane and Maria Butler and as a result had chances going forward. Alessia Mundo and Lane both added to the score as they created chances and finished with style giving the visitors too much to do. Final score 3-1.

U13s S-Tech League POSH Girls (14) v Histon Hornets (0)

POSH Girls u13s returned in style have had a couple of weeks off from the league. Playing at home against Histon Hornets for a return game POSH Girls started well picking up a couple of goals in front of the keeper. Histon's tactics were to get most of their players behind the ball making it difficult to find a way through. Then came Emily Fox's brilliant goal who made her run down the left wing cut inside and struck the ball into the top right of the net. Cady Carolissen finished off the first half putting POSH 4-0 ahead. Although the girls were playing well POSH Girl's manager wanted a better passing game in the second half and as usual the girls delivered. With much better and quicker passing, playing the ball into space and good movement Histon couldn't prevent the POSH Girls constant attack. A further ten goals were scored giving Emily Fox here first hat trick, another great game by Amy Challis with four goals, Stacie Heron also bagged four goals, Cady Carolissen who netted 2 and Hannah Moore scoring her first for the team this season. Managers praise goes to Beth Wilson who had another great game in midfield. Final score 14-0
